Terms of sale and licence

These terms apply when you buy, download or use fastCMS (“the software”). By buying or installing it you agree to them. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean v7web, the maker of fastCMS, and “you” means the person or business that bought the licence.

1. Buying fastCMS

Prices are shown on the pricing page and are one-time payments. Any VAT or sales tax that applies in your country is added at checkout. Your order may be handled by our online reseller or payment provider, which takes the payment, charges tax and issues your receipt; its own checkout terms also apply to the payment.

After payment you get a download link and a licence key by email. Please keep that email: it is your proof of purchase.

2. Your licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on the number of live websites your plan includes (Single: 1 site, Pro: 5 sites, Agency: 25 sites). One website means one installation serving one domain or subdomain.

  • Copies on your own computer or on a private staging address, used for testing, don't count towards your limit.
  • You may change the code and themes for your own sites.
  • You may build sites for clients and hand them over, using one of your licences for each site.
  • You may not resell, share, give away or publish the software, its source code or your licence key, or offer it as a hosted service to others, except as part of a client site described above.

The software stays our property. You own the licence, not the software itself.

3. Licence keys and updates

Your licence key unlocks one-click updates to all future releases of fastCMS on your licensed sites, for as long as we publish updates. Your site keeps working without the key, and keeps working if a key is revoked; it just stops receiving updates.

We may revoke a key that has been shared or published, used on more sites than the plan allows, refunded, or charged back. To move a licence to a new domain, contact us.

4. Third-party services

Some features use services run by other companies, such as Anthropic, Google (Gemini, AdSense, Search Console), DeepSeek, fal.ai, Unsplash and Pexels. To use them you need your own account and key with each provider. You pay those providers directly, you agree to their terms, and they are responsible for their services. Cost estimates and the monthly AI budget in fastCMS are based on published list prices and may differ from your provider's invoice.

5. Your content and AI output

Everything you publish with fastCMS, including text and images created with AI, is yours and your responsibility. AI can produce mistakes, out-of-date information or text similar to existing work. Review content before it goes live, especially on health, legal and money topics, and make sure your site follows the law and the rules of any ad or affiliate programme you join. Automatic publishing (Autopilot) is a feature you choose to turn on.

6. Support

Support is by email through the contact page. It covers installing fastCMS on hosting that meets the requirements, and problems in the software itself. It doesn't cover custom development, changes you have made to the code, your hosting company's setup, or third-party services.

7. Warranty

We work hard to make fastCMS reliable, and we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, the software is provided “as is”, without any other warranty, including fitness for a particular purpose or that it will run without interruption or errors. Keep your own backups: fastCMS includes backup tools, but you are responsible for your site's data.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

8. Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, rankings or data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending the licence

If you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing or reselling the software, your licence ends and you must stop using the copies covered by it. A refund also ends the licence it refunds.

10. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The version shown here on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts, unless the law of your country gives you the right to use your local courts.
