Blog name generator
Type what your blog is about. Get name ideas and see, live, which domains are still free to register.
Already have a name in mind? Type it (for example crumbandcrust) and it's checked first.
"Free" means the registry has no record of the name right now. Register it soon, as anyone can take it first, and some free-looking names are sold at a premium price. Checks come from each registry's public records (RDAP). We don't keep what you type.
What makes a good blog name
A few rules that save you from renaming later.
Short and easy to say
If you can say it once on the phone and the other person can type it, it works. Aim for two or three short words.
.com first
People type .com by habit. If you're writing for one country, its own ending (like .co.uk) is just as good.
No hyphens or numbers
They're easy to forget and hard to say out loud. "Sourdough Notes" beats "sour-dough-notes-2".
Leave room to grow
"Night Train Notes" can cover sleeper trains, routes and kit. "Paris Vienna Nightjet" can't. Pick a name that fits the whole niche.
Not someone else's brand
Avoid trademarks like product or company names. They can cost you the domain later.
Check it reads well
Written as one word, does it spell something odd? Try it in lower case before you buy.
